Hardware is the whole personality of the Paloma. Antiqued buckles anchor every strap, and the sandal is built around them rather than hiding them.
Two wide leather bands cross the forefoot, each closed with oversized buckle detail and grommet accents, and an adjustable slingback strap sets the fit at the back. The block heel is stacked at a height you can stand in, its wood-grain texture reading warm against the tonal leather sole edge. Underfoot there is built-in arch support and a cushioned footbed, with shock absorption at the heel doing the quiet work.
It suits a weekend brunch and it suits a summer evening out, a wider range than most dress sandals manage. The heel is grounded enough for uneven pavement, and the hardware gives a plain dress somewhere to look.
