A shoe shop in Brooklyn

Shoe Depot is a shoe store at 4520 18th Ave in Brooklyn, New York. We have a door, a counter, a stockroom and a phone that a person answers. This website is the same shop, reachable from further away — the same women's footwear, chosen by the same people, sent out from the same address.

We sell women's shoes and nothing else. Dress pumps and heels, loafers, ballet and pointed flats, sandals, casual sneakers and ankle boots. Sizes run from 5 to 13, in medium and wide widths.

How we choose what we sell

Most of our customers are on their feet for a living or close to it. That shapes what we buy. We look at the inside of a shoe before the outside: whether the footbed is cushioned, whether there is real arch support under the arch rather than a printed logo, whether the shoe flexes at the ball of the foot instead of fighting it, and whether the outsole has a tread that will hold on a wet sidewalk.

Then we look at whether it is worth wearing. A comfortable shoe that looks orthopaedic solves half the problem and creates the other half. What we stock has to survive a full working day and still look right walking into a restaurant afterwards.

Buying online

Orders are picked, packed and dispatched by us from the Brooklyn shop. Nobody else fulfils an order in our name. Standard shipping within the United States is $8, and free on orders of $70 and over; express is $15. We ship within the United States only.

Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days, and once dispatched they typically arrive within 4 to 8 business days. If a pair is not right, you have 30 days from the day it reaches you to start a return. There is no restocking fee. The full terms are in our refund policy and shipping policy.

Coming in

You are welcome to visit. We are at 4520 18th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11204, open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 10:30 AM to 2 PM, and closed Saturday. All times are Eastern.
