The tassel is doing real work on the Iris. It breaks up a moc-toe loafer that would otherwise be entirely plain, and it gives the shoe a reason to be looked at twice.
Gathered leather seaming runs across the vamp into the classic moc-toe shape, and the tasseled strap sits above a brogue-punched collar. A low stacked heel finishes the profile. Underfoot the cushioning absorbs shock at the heel and returns rebound at the forefoot, so the second half of a long day feels much like the first. The outsole is durable rubber with reliable traction. Polished leather and rich suede both appear across the range.
It moves from the workweek to the weekend without changing register: trousers and a shirt on a Tuesday, jeans and a plain sweater on a Saturday. It is the loafer you stop thinking about, which is the highest compliment a shoe gets.
