Edith Knotted Bow Ballet Flats
A ballet flat is mostly an exercise in restraint, and the Edith spends its one flourish on a small knotted bow at the vamp.
The upper is glossy patent, which keeps the shape crisp and catches light where a matte finish would flatten it. Contrast suede piping traces the topline, a quiet line separating the shoe from the foot. Underneath, a low block heel grounds the silhouette without lifting it out of flat territory, and inside there is a cushioned footbed and a soft lining against the skin.
It carries enough polish for a morning meeting and enough ease for the long stretch of day after it. Wear it with cropped trousers and a visible ankle, or with tights when the weather turns — the bow does better with a clean hem above it.
